Fairbanks is a big game hunter who returns home to find his true love in a mental institution after suffering a nervous breakdown. Realizing that all the "patients" are really just spoiled from a life of ease, Doug takes the hypochondriacs on his yacht, stages a shipwreck on a desert island, and forces the brats to fend for themselves! Dusty is the Gilligan of the old west… played by Bob Denver himself - who was (and always will be) GIlligan. The rest of the characters have parallels with an island inhabitant as well - the de facto stocky leader of the expedition, the sexy saloon girl, a very cute and wholesome young school marm, a wealthy snooty couple from Boston, and a regular guy.
