DESCRIPTION
Tex Ritter was remembered as much for his music as for his films. He began his movie career in the mid-thirties and as a singing cowboy, he was second only to Gene Autry in popularity. In the first half of the double-bill, "Marshal of Gunsmoke," Ward (Tex Ritter) is a U.S. Marshall going to round up a group of bandits that are attempting to rig the local elections. The second half of the double feature, "Oklahoma Raiders," takes place during the Civil War and Union Army Lieutenant Steve Nolan (Tex Ritter) and Corporal Banjo Bonner (Fuzzy Knight) are assigned to trail and capture "El Vengador/The Avenger", an outlaw leader whose band is stealing herds of wild horses before they can be delivered on contract to the U.S. Army.
