Fanny Brice, the great burlesque actress/singer who rose to stardom in the Ziegfeld Follies and would later be portrayed by Barbara Streisand in FUNNY GIRL, stars in this delightful musical comedy. The charming story concerns a down-and-out boxer struggling to make it big, though Brice steals the show with great songs such as Cookin' Breakfast for the One I Love and a marvelous lampoon of Dante's Inferno.
