DESCRIPTION
Richard Greene plays Robin Hood, the dashing hero of Sherwood Forest in this adventure series set in medieval England. Robin Hood robs the rich and gives to the poor, liberates oppressed peasants and rescues maidens - all to the exasperation of the evil sheriff of Nottingham. Three episodes on one volume:
- MAID MARIAN - The waylaying of a courier by the outlaws has a surprising result - for Robin - who finds himself in a perilous position when he sees the jewels belong to Maid Marian Fitzwalter, a childhood friend, suspected of being an enemy to the Merry Men.
- THE SALT KING - In Robin Hood’s time, most essential goods were in short supply, and certain lords held monopolies on them. One such commodity is salt, and Lord Guthrie plots with the Sheriff to hold up supplies to raise the price, while blaming Robin for the “theft”. Guest Star: Manning Wilson. Directed by Don Chaffey.
- A TUCK IN TIME - Friar Tuck's twin brother Edgar has returned from the East with a deadly secret, and is preparing to sell it to Prince John. Robin and Tuck plan to stop him but how? He’s meeting Prince John at Fitzwalter Hall in a few hours... Features Alexander Gauge in a dual role as Tuck and Edgar.
