DESCRIPTION
Richard Greene plays Robin Hood, the dashing hero of Sherwood Forest in this adventure series set in medieval England. Robin Hood robs the rich and gives to the poor, liberates oppressed peasants and rescues maidens - all to the exasperation of the evil sheriff of Nottingham. Three episodes on one volume:
- THE CHARTER - Lord Greenwald is seriously ill in his castle. He is the only person who knows the hiding place of a Charter which will limit Prince Johns' power, should he become king. Marian learns where the Charter is hidden, now can she and Robin find it before the Sheriff? Guest Star: Harry H. Corbett.
- PEPPER - At Marian’s request Robin tries to aid a Byzantine princess, Irene, whose father plans an alliance with King Richard. However, the Princess believes Prince John loves her and does everything she can to keep the alliance from happening. Guest Star: Monica Stevenson.
- DEAD OR ALIVE - Little John escapes the bondage of his feudal lord, but is caught by the Sheriff's men. The sergeant offers him his freedom if he will go to Sherwood Forest and bring back a certain outlaw. Little John agrees, and in the forest meets Robin Hood for the first time.
