DESCRIPTION
Richard Greene plays Robin Hood, the dashing hero of Sherwood Forest in this adventure series set in medieval England. Robin Hood robs the rich and gives to the poor, liberates oppressed peasants and rescues maidens - all to the exasperation of the evil sheriff of Nottingham. Three episodes on one volume:
- THE BRIDE OF ROBIN HOOD - A girl, who has run away from home to avoid marriage, proves herself a valiant archer in defence of Robin. In return for her service in a dangerous situation, he grants her a favor. But he gets more than he bargained for in carrying out the girl’s request. Guest Stars: Billie Whitelaw, Ronald Allan.
- TO BE A STUDENT - Prince John is levying troops from among young men of suitable age. Peter Larkin, a brilliant student that Friar Tuck is preparing for university, tries to escape this traitorous service, but needs a litle help from Robin and Tuck. Guest Stars: Derek Waring, Maureen Davis.
- THE PROFITEER - Lotham village is starving, the harvest destroyed by Black Rot. The Lord of the Manor refuses help, but Robin decides that Andrew, a serf from Lotham, will buy food with outlaw money. Guest Stars: Gordon Jackson (Upstairs, Downstairs), John Longdon.
