Richard Greene plays Robin Hood, the dashing hero of Sherwood Forest in this adventure series set in medieval England. Robin Hood robs the rich and gives to the poor, liberates oppressed peasants and rescues maidens - all to the exasperation of the evil sheriff of Nottingham. Three episodes on one volume:
- THE SHERIFF’S BOOTS - The Sheriff of Nottingham prides himself on being well dressed, down to his boots. His makers can’t make a good boot, so he shops around. - ERRAND OF MERCY - While delivering herbs to Nottingham to fight an epidemic of St. Anthony's Fire, Robin and Little John are recognised by a beggar, and have to fight for their lives. Guest Stars: Hal Osmond, Paula Byrne.
- SECRET MISSION - A mysterious hooded pilgrim, Peregrinus, seems anxious to meet the outlaws, and proves his skill with bow and sword. But he asks awkward questions about their loyalty to King Richard. Guest Stars: Patrick Barr, John Longden. Directed by Lindsay Anderson.
