DESCRIPTION
1971 - (Hammer) - One of the best of the later Hammer films. In 19th century Bavaria disappearance of several girls is blamed on a legendary demon that supposedly haunts the local forest. In a nearby castle, a deranged count keeps his two children under lock and key because he thinks they’re possessed. A hypnotist, played by Magee, comes in to unlock the dreaded family secrets. He soon discovers a horrifying trail of incest, madness, and murder. A fine script is helped along by great performances. Recommended.
