1938 - (Imperial) - A down on–his-luck guy gets involved with a loan shark whose henchmen regularly bump off non-payers. After his wife attempts suicide, he kills the brother of one of the gangsters he works with. Watch out! A great script for such a cheapie, and it’s helped out by fine performances by all. It’s always fun to see LaRue as a ruthless gangster. 16mm.
