1948 - Columbia - Past videos of this were usually from poor 16mm dupes. Throw ‘em away because our master is from a gorgeous 35mm print. Gene’s held responsible when a ranger is accidentally shot. However, he was actually slain by the hit man of a corrupt timber official who stops at nothing to prevent his moth-infested forest from being sprayed with DDT (the spray ruins timber). His own planes secretly overdose the area with DDT, causing livestock deaths and rallying locals against Gene’s efforts to spray the forests. A unique plot helps this terrific Autry western. 35mm.
