1956 - The PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE of jungle movies--no doubt about it. A couple of daring guys head for the jungle in search of a girlfriend, Velda, who's been re-captured by the tribe of killer gorillas that originally raised her. Velda (Fontaine) is an absolute knockout! The guys soon rescue her but are attacked by several Crash Corrigan style killer gorillas. The last 20 minutes of this amazing turkey feature some of the most enjoyable moments in Z-film history. Director Ormand used numerous stock footage shots of topless natives. However, he then hired some extremely well endowed girls from Hollywood to play topless native girls who are captured by the gorillas. One can't help getting the impression that Ormand thought the censors might not be able to tell the difference between the stock footage girls and the Hollywood babes he hired. Get real, Ron! Pure hilarity. Great color, 35mm.
