"Series Synopsis: There's plenty of action and adventure in the Great White North with Richard Simmons as the Mountie that always gets his man. The series began as a popular radio show which was broadcast from 1947 to 1955. The character was conceived by George W. Trendle, the creator of The Lone Ranger and The Green Hornet. The star of the show, Richard Simmons, revealed in an interview (after the series ended) that the lead character's first name is Frank, although it's never used in the series. Originally aired September 29, 1955 to September 25, 1958."
